After developing a crippling fear of blood, hotshot London surgeon Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) is forced to retrain as a GP and relocate to the charming seaside village of Portwenn. Nobody Likes Me (2013) (S06E04)
Unbelievable happened in the act, Penhale appeared in the fourth episode and I didn't feel the need to physically harm him at all. Strange. Martin amused me again in the office and outside of it, and Portwenn clearly has no luck with pharmacists. I would quite welcome an episode in which Morwenna gets more space.

The Practice Around the Corner (2013) (S06E05)
Unlike previous episodes, I didn't really enjoy myself this time, Penhale's adventure in the wilderness was essentially about nothing, and the other plotlines didn't fill me with boundless enthusiasm either. The fifth part simply gave me a feeling of weariness.

Hazardous Exposure (2013) (S06E06)
In this case, I was more entertained than in the previous episode, even though Martin's mother's arrival annoyed me a little. I'm really annoyed at how the creators repeatedly resort to the same concept to avoid addressing the issue, they just throw in another relative. Martin was in top form again, he even amused me, the village idiot Penhale and Morwenna was traditionally perfect.

Listen with Mother (2013) (S06E07)
I was surprised myself at how much I enjoyed this episode. I wasn't even tempted to physically harm Penhale, despite his frequent appearances. The medal ceremony on the school playground really excited me, not to mention the speech:-) Mrs. Tishell really impressed me this time, but I was disappointed by Aunt Ruth's absence and the attendance of Martin's disgustingly irritating mother.

Departure (2013) (S06E08)
This time, I enjoyed myself just like in the previous episode, but for different reasons. The atmosphere of the last episode of the sixth series was much more serious and solemn, which was nice, but I didn't like the creators' attempt to create tension. They must have realized that the regular viewer knew the whole time how the "tense" situation would end. I appreciated the departure of that disgusting creature, and the devil took the clocks!
