Two Italian journalists and two Hungarian girls from Canada get acquainted at a Lili Ország exhibition in Szentendre. Viola is enchanted by the pictures and starts to investigate the Hungarian roots of the painter and her family, while her girlfriend Matyi prefers to be looking out for a rich friend, although she likes flirting with Filippo. Paulo falls in love with Viola, and suffers from the girl's capriciousness. The two girls visit the Italians in Sicily. Matyi must learn here that Filippo has a family, so she leaves. Years later she is killed in a plane crash, along with her rich friend. Viola lives lonely in Budapest and paints pictures, thus trying to find herself, while Paulo is wandering through the streets of Budapest in search of her. (Budapest Film)
