Rice farmer Alfredo Saracco is converting areas of his farm in the Po Val-ley to barley cultivation. For him, too, nothing is the same without the wa-ter of Lake Maggiore. For almost two years, Lake Maggiore has been gradually running out of water. Despite the rainfall in spring 2023, the re-gion is becoming a climate change hot spot in Europe.
