Shibuya's last film for Shochiko pays homage to Ozu, who died one year before it was released. The screenplay is based on a story written by Ozu and the film brings together several of his great actors, especially Ryu Chishu. He plays an older man who has four grown daughters. One day, he disappears without a trace. (Berlinale)
