Bob Rosenzweig knows something about life that most people don’t - he knows when his is going to end. Bob suffers from terminal Parkinson’s disease. In Washington state, the law allows for people with less than six months left to live to schedule the termination of their lives. Invited by Bob and his family to tell his story, Australian filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson observes Bob’s final days and moments with the scrupulous ethical care one would expect in such an unprecedented situation. More than this, Man on Earth is an intimate portrait of a man’s bravery, forthrightness, and humor when faced with the end. Bob radiates love throughout the film, leaving us with a cherished final piece of advice: “Keep your humanity, keep your dignity, and be happy with your life.” (True/False Film Festival)
