Prioritize:
Alexander Payne shows us here that he has a good sense for scripts and that he can write a good script, even if you feel at first that this is just going to be high school crap. First of all, Election is not a shallow comedy but is instead a very good drama in places. This alternation of atmospheres is very good and can make you feel uncomfortable. Matthew Broderick is in his element in these slightly sleazy roles. ()
