A banquet is to be held in honour of banker Jacob Cotten´s sixtieth birthday. His younger son Ivar does not want to take over the administration of the family fortune. One night, as Ivar and his friend Rex, a medical student, are walking home, they see Ivar´s sister Vica, together with her husband Hugo and two friends, leaving a restaurant. She and Rex are immediately attracted to each other, and Vica rents a room where they can meet. Rex, however, does not wish to continue meeting under such circumstances. They decide to meet in Vica´s home in order to come to a final decision about their future together. Hugo surprises them and outmanoeuvres Rex, who leaves. After Rex' departure, Hugo rapes Vica and gets her intoxicated. During this time Jacob Cotten´s banquet has been in progress. (official distributor synopsis)
