Biography
Sofia Ledarp is educated at the Swedish Academic School of Drama in Luleå. After her education, she played in numerous plays at The Royal Dramatic Theatre notably in Maria Stuart directed by Ingmar Bergman. In several other plays and in two directed by Lars Norén she also worked at Stockholm Stadsteater.
In cinema, she played the main part in Gone and also in Cockpit directed by Mårten Klingberg. She received the Guldbagge Award (the most prestigious film award in Sweden) for best actress for her performance in Åke Sandgrens feature film To Love Someone. She has also played in numerous other films.
During the spring of 2014 Sofia Ledarp appeared in the TV series Miss Friman's War on Swedish Television, she played Lady MacBeth in MacBeth at Stockholm Stadsteater and was in House of Fools directed by Vic Reevs and Bob Mortimer for BBC.
