Graduated from the Complutense and as a technician at IORTVE, he was selected at the Berlinale’s Talent Campus. He began at the age of eighteen as an assistant director for Fernando Colomo PC in films like Women in Prison or Not Love, Just Frenzy, among others. Later, as a director, he combined television work for generalist broadcasters (Telemadrid, Tele 5, Antena 3 and La Sexta) with video clips, educational films and self-promotions. In 2005 his film Sanfermines 78, the second highest-grossing documentary of the year, was theatrically released. He has directed five short films, including Metropolis Ferry or Pornobrujas, with which garnered more than a hundred awards at international festivals. In 2006 he founded Smiz & Pixel, a production company with which he develops documentary and fiction projects.
