Biography
Jacques Sarasin (b. 1955, Geneva) has worn various hats: boat seller, humanitarian worker in Africa, experimental businessman in Argentina. At the beginning of the nineties he founded Productions Faire Bleu which, in addition to other cultural activities, produced his documentaries (Les Enfeus de Saint-Jean, Seul autour du monde, European DN). The feature I'll Sing for You (Je chanterai pour toi) used Lieve Joris's Mali Blues as a starting point, and is Sarasin's most successful film to date. It was screened at many festivals (Tribeca, Los Angeles, Tokyo, São Paolo, Vienna) and took Grand Prize at Montevideo.
