Biography

Remton Zuasola directed his first feature, Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria, in 2010, challenging filmmaking convention to become the first Asian film shot in a single long take while painstakingly telling the heartbreaking story of an island girl who leaves home in search of a better life. The film garnered Best Film, Director, Cinematography and Musical Score at the Philippine Gawad Urian Awards, in addition to Grand Jury Prize at Jeunju Festival in South Korea. In 2014 he directed his second film, Soap Opera.
